Adjunct Professor of the Interdisciplinary Course in Science and Technology at the Federal University of Maranhão. He obtained the title of Doctor in Natural Resources Engineering in the Graduate Program in Engineering of Natural Resources of the Amazon at the Federal University of Pará, where he developed a multidisciplinary project involving the design and manufacture of equipment for transferring mass and heat, as well as their application in research to reduce the environmental impacts of industrial waste. He completed a Masters in Materials Engineering from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão (2010), Specialization in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1993) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1983). He has 25 years of industrial experience including research, engineering design (conducting projects in the US, Canada and Spain), construction, operation and maintenance. He has extensive experience in lifting equipment, handling bulk solids and recycling industrial waste. He has a focus on results, strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and gain support from different groups such as scientists, consultants and contractors in order to achieve operability, safety, time and cost objectives. Thinking outside the box and finding innovative solutions are key features. Ability to get the best results with limited resources.
